The Small Business Center is the administrative sponsoring organization for the Certified Entrepreneurial Community® program in Cleveland County. After 19 months of work, Cleveland County was officially designated a Certified Entrepreneurial Community on December 1, 2016. The purpose of this program is to showcase our community as an area of opportunity for entrepreneurs and small business owners. This can boost our economy and potential for growth by attracting risk-takers willing to accept the challenges of creating new businesses that will provide jobs to the county’s private sector workforce.
